EPC Global Solutions (EPC), a leader in global ITAD services and a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSI Leasing, Inc., recently expanded its operations to Malaysia with the acquisition of ExportXcel, Sdn. Bhd., an established company dealing in used and refurbished IT equipment, and providing buybacks, trade-ins, secure IT disposal and other related services. The new subsidiary joins multiple sister ITAD companies located throughout the Americas and Europe and will operate under the EPC banner.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, ExportXcel will expand EPC’s in-house ITAD capabilities to Asia by adding 42 highly experienced employees that process up to 15,000 assets yearly. Founder and CEO Leong Kam Moon will continue to manage the facility. He has successfully grown ExportXcel from a small, three-person company to a thriving ITAD business in just under 20 years.
In addition to processing the Asia-Pacific region’s off-lease equipment, EPC will provide in-house secure and sustainable ITAD services for medium and large enterprises throughout the region. This acquisition reinforces CSI’s mission of building global strategic alliances with its customers, helping them finance, manage and dispose of IT securely and sustainably.
“Leong has built an exceptional business. In fact, ExportXcel has been handling our customers’ end-of-lease equipment for five years. During this time, we have enjoyed an outstanding relationship, and their professionalism and expertise is demonstrated with every customer interaction,” said Cheng Chiin Ong, director and CEO of CSI Asia-Pacific. “Having ExportXcel join the CSI and EPC family was truly the perfect fit. Their ITAD experience and highly-skilled team will be a tremendous asset to our local and multinational customers.”
“Our mission has always been to provide experience in service, excellence in quality and excitement in product,” said Leong Kam Moon. “We are thrilled for the opportunity to join CSI, along with their premier global ITAD provider that has a model so closely aligned to ours. I have comfort knowing the business we built will only continue to grow now that we are a part of CSI.”
Established in 2004, ExportXcel is an IBM Trade-In Partner, Asset Disposal Services Partner for Acer and Blancco-certified data erasure ITAD Partner.
